Sharing What Inclusive Research Engagement Really Looks Like

The Young People’s Forum organised a trip to Hubbard’s Hills for their young people.

Aims of the trip included:

  • Enjoying a safe and free space to explore outside of the norm.
  • Exploring and appreciating green and blue spaces within Lincolnshire.
  • A time away taking care of young people’s mental healths.
  • Building friendships through teamwork activities.

Activities for the trip included:

  • Sightseeing which gave the young people an opportunity to appreciate the park, the hills, the water flows and the beautiful nature.
  • Games which allowed for young people to get physically active, learn new games all while enjoying themselves.
  • An eye opening discussion on racism in schools and the reactions they give when it happens.
  • A delicious lunch prepared by one of our volunteers.

We would like to extend our appreciation to:

  • The Health Gospel Board for allowing us to be our complete selves as young people.
  • The parents within THG who continually entrust us with their young children.
  • The volunteers for their ideas, time, energy and involvement in our activities.
  • Sports England for being our Sponsors.
