On 28 January 2026, The Health Gospel proudly launched the Compassionate Mental Health & Well‑Being Support Hub, a pioneering initiative designed to bring together services and organisations dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for Black and Ethnic Minority communities, including refugees and asylum seekers.
The launch event showcased a dynamic panel discussion featuring voices from the BME community who shared lived experiences and explored the barriers that often prevent individuals from seeking help. Their insights highlighted the importance of culturally sensitive care, community‑based support, and the power of compassion in mental health services.
Following the panel, a collaborative workshop was held with the Health and Care Partnership Community of Practice, focusing on how the Compassionate Hub can serve as a model for inclusive, accessible, and dignity‑centred mental health support. The session fostered meaningful dialogue and strengthened partnerships across organisations committed to equitable care.
This milestone marks the beginning of a shared journey toward a more empathetic and inclusive mental health landscape, one where understanding, resilience, and lived experience are at the heart of every conversation.
